What it is

Asset templates are ways of pre-filling information for assets to make it easier, quicker, and more accurate.

Use cases

Asset templates are the way to keep your similar assets uniform. We strongly recommend only creating assets from templates. When an asset is being created, one worker might write “3k lbs”, one might write “3000 lbs”, and one might write “Three Thousand Pounds”. While these all mean the same thing, they would not show up in a search together. An asset template would standardize this so each worker has that information pre-filled for them in the correct format.
