TESSALink Web - How to Multi Create Assets

1. Log in using your username and password

2. On the side menu select Asset Management, and sub menu should drop down and select Assets

3. Once on the assets menu, select the plus button at the top right to create a new asset

4. From here you can select if you would like to create an asset from an asset template or from scratch(to see how to multi create assets from template skip to steps 7-9). Select scratch and select OK at the bottom right of the asset create window

5. Once on the asset create page, fill in the fields you would like to be applied to the multiple assets you are about to create( any field with a * is a required field and the multi create button will not show until these fields are filled out). Once the fields you like are filled out select the multi create button(pyramid) at the top right

6. A new window will show, where you can enter the quantity of the assets you are creating by entering a number in the Quantity field and pressing refresh. All fields with * are required fields. If you would like to remove an asset without refreshing the page, you can select the delete button(trash can) next to the asset you would like to delete. 

A) The total number of assets you want to create (Required)

If you want the assets to automatically populate sequentially, please fill out B-F as well. 

B) Any prefix that you want to add for each asset. In the above picture, each asset will have "Example Asset" at the start of it.

C) The starting number that will be used. Since I want my first asset to be "Example Asset 1", I used "1" as the Start Number.

D) The increase in number that you want between assets. In the above picture, I want them to increase by 1 (Example Asset 1, Example Asset 2, Example Asset 3, etc.), so I used "1".

E) Copy to Serial Number - If you want the asset number for each asset to be copied to the serial number, check this box.

F) Copy to Barcode - If you want the asset number for each asset to be copied to the barcode, check this box.

G) After you have all of the information filled out, click this refresh button to have the assets populate. 

Once you have required fields filled in select the save button. If the assets have saved correctly, you will see a green banner at the top right stating "Assets have been created successfully".

7. To multi create from a template select the template button on the asset create window. Once you have found the template you would like to use, select OK at the bottom right of the window.

8. On this page fill fields with an * next to it and the multi create asset button(pyramid) will show. 

9. A new window will show, where you can enter the quantity of the assets you are creating by entering a number in the Quantity field and pressing refresh. All fields with * are required fields.
